July 13-16

Riders: Antoine

Destination: Ohio

Comments: I left Louisiana on Thursday July 13 to ride to Cincinnati, Ohio to meet a Army buddy. I traveled through Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, and Kentucky. I traveled the whole day and stayed in a nice Motel 8 in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky. Friday I contacted my friend and spent the afternoon talking about the old days.

Saturday morning I got up, ate breakfast, then went on a nice country ride. I took I-71 to 42, which brought me to 1039, then 156, then 338, then 56 to 50, about 130 miles one way. I then turned around and rode it back and stopped at a place called Sun Grill and Marina where I had a nice Ribeye steak. Then I headed back to the motel. Parts of these roads brought me into Indiana. Sunday I traveled back home. The bike ran good and I had no problems.

July 19

Riders: Matt, Antoine, and Brandon

Destination: Song Phi Nong, Houma

Comments: Members met at the Conoco in Thibodaux and rode to Song Phi Nong in Houma. We even managed to stay pretty dry.

July 22

Riders: Brandon, Matt

Destination: Hot Tails, New Roads

Comments: Brandon and Matt met at Conoco in Labadieville and travel through White Castle and Grosse Tete to make our way to Hot Tails in New Roads. It was a beautiful ride up there. The food was sloppy, but very delicious. Matt had the Alligator Burger and Brandon had the Crawfish Burger. The ride home was dry until we hit a small tsunami in Napoleonville.
