Riders: Brandon & Madelyn
Destination: Taqueria El Mundo - Houma
Comments: About a month ago, Madelyn got in her head that she wanted authentic birria tacos. She was told by a Hispanic friend that Taqueria El Mundo was the best place around. So today we (Brandon and Madelyn) took a ride through Bayou L’Ourse, along Bayou Black Rd, past the Southdown Plantation Craft Show, and down Grand Caillou to give the place a try. She got her 3 birria tacos while I got 5 combo tacos (chicken, beef, and pork). The freshness and flavors were awesome. We also found out there is a brick and mortar restaurant next to Chuck E Cheese on MLK. After lunch and a little shopping, we stopped for coffee and beignets at Runneth Over near Troop C. We then returned home through Chackbay and Choupic.

Riders: Antoine, Keith, Tim, Tommy, Brandon, Mike & Aiden
Destination: Cajun Catch Restaurant - Zachary
Comments: Saturday morning Antoine, Keith, Tim, Tommy, Brandon, Mike (Tommy’s son-in-law), and Aiden (Tommy’s grandson) left Labadieville headed north. Our destination was Cajun Catch in Zachary. With Antoine leading, we traveled through White Castle and Plaquemine, saw a lively character in Scotlandville, made a couple of U-turns, and made the block around the restaurant, but found our destination all the same. The Cajun Catch offers large portions of traditional foods and some different things, like Antoine’s gumbo poboy. Tommy led us back through tree covered roads (Port Hudson-Pride Rd, Liberty Rd, Greenwell Springs Rd, LA 64, LA 1028 aka Old River Road, LA 1032 aka N & S River Road, LA 1032 aka 4-H Club Road), LA 16, Hwy 22, and the River Road. It was a beautiful day for riding.
